I am sooooo excited for the new shows on the CW, with shows like Gossip Girl and 90210..I will try anything they put on the screen. I can't wait for Melrose Place, and I might even check out Vampire Diaries. But, I am really exicted for The Beautiful Life, it looks like a totally new type of show. Mischa Barton is the star of the show, or at least it looks that way. Sara Paxton, and Corbin Bleu are also part of the cast. It is about a group of models living together in NYC. I can't even imagine what's going to go on with this...but I am pumped. The preview features ZAC POSEN, I'm loving it already.

Sometimes I am all for Mischa's boho-hippie style, and other times...I'm not.

first, some wonderful news....I WAS ACCEPTED TO F.I.T! I found last thursday, yay! i am really pumped to really start getting ready for my future in fashion. i live it the best i can now, but just wait until i am there. it really is where i belong, i didn't even consider applying anywhere else, and i would kind of just roll my eyes when people who didn't get me would tell me i should always have a plan B. i have to thank my amazing english teacher for everything she has done to help me, not even just with F.I.T-related things. :)

NOW...

summer is quickly approaching, and my warmer weather wardrobe (alliteration not intended) is gradually growing (again). it usually is a lot of cute tank tops, shorts, and of course dresses. this year i am OBSESSED with rompers/jumpsuits/playsuits whatever you want to call them, i am soooooooooo in love! i purchased two recently, one is extremely retro-nautical looking, the other is opposite more casual-bohemian. they are a nice change from shorts, or a dress. there are tons of vintage rompers, since it is just an old style renewing itself. some are honestly, not cute, but if you look hard enough there are some gems out there. of course stores like UO, and f21 have been bringing in these fun one pieces.

people i barely know even see it, and it makes my day. i like that i am someone people turn to when they think of fashion, it is the greatest feeling.

Tonight at 8pm on HBO, Drew Barrymore's movie "Grey Gardens" is premiering. I will be dvr-ing it of course, I love Drew Barrymore and I can't wait to see her acting in a movie, that she also produced. But lately, she has been stepping up her fashion game with all the promoting she has been doing for it. Take a look..

So, I've noticed a lot of shoulder-showing lately. There's one shoulder, off the shoulder, that combination of sleeves but the shoulders pop out. I have always been fond of that whole "my shoulder is showing" look, it is sexy, but in a not trying too hard way. Many of these tops are available in peasant style tops (which is also making a comeback). I went to Pennsylvania last weekend and picked up two tops that can be worn off the shoulder, I can't resist this trend. I hope it sticks around.

every spring/summer i get a new white dress. i guess it is my own shopping tradition. i went shopping in the city today, it was beautiful out. i got my dress from forever 21, i love it. i also bought a couple pairs of shorts, but failed to find a denim pair i really liked....any suggestions?

TOPSHOP has finally opened in New York City!

now i am only a train ride away from the clothes that i've been lusting over since, um, forever. fashionologie posted a link to a virtual tour of the new store, and it is absolutely SICK. i am melting inside, dying to get over there...thank god spring break starts this weekend! i plan on getting there sometime next week, hopefully they keep up with stock because i can imagine what it was like when the doors opened this morning.

The Fashion Show

Bravo has announced their new reality series, The Fashion Show.

I think it has great potential,

"Fifteen professional designers will compete in this fashion creative competition series for a chance to have their designs sold in the retail market and win a $125,000 prize." (www.bravotv.com)

I like the idea of "retail market," sure Project Runway gives us some awesome fashion shows, but I feel like they lose touch with the public once they're off the show. Usually the PR winners end up with celebrity clients and/or people who are willing to pay for a custom garment. So, I think with this new show, it will be exciting to be able to buy the clothes, hopefully they are a reasonable price range.

The host will be the fabulous Isaac Mizrahi,uhh..maybe he can make a deal with target to sell the winner's line there ;). It will be exciting to see a successful designer hosting a show based on fashion design.

One thing I don't completely get though, Kelly Rowland being a judge on the show? Nothing against her but, I don't know...guess we'll have to see. The other judge is the senior vice president of IMG fashion Fern Mallis, who I remember being on Project Runway.

All the cast bios are available on Bravo's website, so you should check it out, I am reading all the designer bios as I do this now...

Anyway, the show airs Thursday, May 7th, at 10pm. Watch it! I can't wait :)

it is that time of year, where i am ready for winter to go away...and for spring to come already.

this collection is all over the place, and i wouldn't want it any other way. it has a little bit of everything that comes with warm weather. this show tops my Lacroix favorites list, right by Spring 2008 which i still just absolutely love.

busy, busy week. i am finished with FIT saturday live classes, which is bittersweet. i am looking forward to sleeping on saturday's again.

monday: hours of christmas shopping, and i have yet to finish.

tuesday: sam came over, and we watched love actually and whatev.

wednesday: school work, boring.

thursday: school, out all over the place with kaitlyn and jackie. came home went to the food store to buy stuff for today.

friday: best school day ever. did nothing, parties, cake, friends, pictures, and diner with my besties after school, oh AND LOTS OF SNOW.

cardigans, a favorite among fashionista's especially during the weather changes. i have noticed the change from plain solid colors, and the occasional stripes are becoming more intricate. sequins are coming back, and the cardigan is no exception. there are also ruffles and bows (my favorites!) all over the place, and ombre seems to have seeped into them as well. do you like the more elaborate cardi's? if so...which is your favorite?

i have started my christmas list, here's number one and two.

FRYE BOOTS are absolutely vital for my wardrobe. i know once i get them (hopefully), i will reach a new level of satisfaction. but when it comes to clothing, shoes, etc. i am never satisfied. (i am sure many can agree). i am not too picky with the style, i just want them tall and that cognac-caramel color.

so, about a week ago one of the many victoria's secret catalogs came. i really love some of their clothing, the pastel colors are so pretty, and there is tons of LACE and RUFFLES, which i am very fond of. victoria's secret always has the best tops, and they are great quality too. even if they are a little pricey they usually have some type of deal (free gifts, free shipping, buy 1 get 1 free) so it is worth it! i am all for faded pastels in the fall/winter..are you?

i absolutely love that dress, the pictures don't give it justice. the lace is gorgeous, and the detail just ahhh. it is actually really comfortable too!

oh, and i just want to mention the nail polish in my first picture...Sephora by O.P.I..I love all of the colors, O.P.I is the only nail polish i buy. it is seriously an awesome color too. the color is called "metro chic."

some unfortunate news, my fur coat from eBay = way too big. it is not flattering on me at all, i wish they didn't say it fit like a small..because it doesn't. i am going to either resell it or return it.

fortunately i found one that i like more, and have already tried it on! they also have a brown one that is a bit longer, and a leopard one. i think i want the white...i am still undecided.

yes it is a "Christian Lacroix "Prêt-à-Porter" 2008 Limited Edition" water bottle. i am really tempted, the price is not even that bad $13.95 per bottle, and it is also available in a case. i think this is the most chic way to drink water, ever.

in my last post i talked about how i wanted a faux fur coat, mission accomplished. yesterday, i came across an abundant amount of possible choices, it was so overwhelming. after ruling out a few because of not so good eBay sellers it was down to two. they were all around the same price, and all grayish-white. i decided on one that was vintage from the 70's, labeled "G. Caserotti Originals." The other was Beeline, which is actually the same label as my pink vintage dress, it was also really nice but i think this one is more of what i was looking for. i know it isn't as "swing" shaped as i claimed i wanted but overall it is what i was looking for. it was "buy it now" or "best offer" i offered $24 (buy it now was $35) and they accepted it..yay!

i also got the best compliment today in school "You look like you're from Gossip Girl." haha<33

just for fun, the "Beeline" dress, i want to wear it again. i guess i have to see if it looks good with tights.

so i haven't updated for a few days. yesterday a tragedy in itself happened, my camera decided to suddenly not work! fortunately, i have a warranty that will have it fixed in two weeks and a back up camera so i just have to find the USB cord. i had just finished taking pictures of my outfit from friday, i was wearing my new skirt from the Jonathan Saunders for Target line! ughhh. i found a picture of it on the website...

so i am determined to find a faux fur swing coat, like the ones mary kate and ashley always wear (sadly, they are usually NOT faux). i don't have a length or color preference, i just want it to be swing coat shape and FAUX FAUX FAUX! i saw a few on ebay that i might bid on.

so today i had FIT (saturday live), and we went on a field trip to mood. it is the third time i've been there, unfortunately not a lot but, i am lucky to even be able to go. we had to get swatches for 3 trends we chose for the boards, i think i am going to stick with animal print, lace, and plaid. it was hard to stay focused because my ideas tend to get all mixed up when there are so many choices. i saw some great designer label fabrics (just cavalli, and marc jacobs). the cavalli ones were seriously so pretty, the only one i was allowed to sample was the leopard which worked out well anyway. the marc jacobs one was more of a lining with his name all over it. there was a really cool board of all the PR contestants designs with swatched of their fabrics (picture below). we also went to M&J trims, where i scored 3 samples of lace, they only let you have 3 and it had to be under $11 a yard.

also, i picked up this lovely little box set. it is nina garcia's books, the little black book of style, and an autographed copy of the one hundred. i started reading them and she makes some good points about clothing, and how they should make you feel. so far, so good.

this is post number 90! friday is here already, and it is a three day weekend! i have to finish picking out pictures for the board i am making at FIT tomorrow. we are going to MOOD to get fabric for them, so i am very excited for that. i haven't been there in over a year with one of my other classes, so it will be fun.

it was so warm today, it is getting annoying because i never know if i am dressed too warm or cold.

so after my last post, i had the desire to wear red.

i am back!!! i successfully managed to get some vintage clothing and jewelry. two cardigans, one actually is not "vintage" per se, but more like early 2000's ralph lauren. the other is a gold/beige, and i just liked it. i also lucked out with jewelry, i spent about ten minutes rummaging through a jewelry-obsessed old woman's very unorganized jewelry box and found an adorable christian dior necklace. i checked it to make sure it was authentic, and it was signed and she reassured me that she wouldn't ever buy knock-off jewelry. i will take a picture of it for my next post, promise :)

also i spent about 3 hours on style.com yesterday seeing the shows i missed, loved miu miu and galliano's british guards! oh absolutely brilliant. (photos style)

my favorites from MIU MIU...another collection inspired by a different country (Italy) with the roman details. i love seeing red on the runway, i think it is such a standout color. the middle is my favorite, totally will attempt recreating that look.

the british are comingggggg! JOHN GALLIANO, again he is one of my faves especially when it comes to couture. i have to say though i loveeeed this RTW collection, very different, and more red! the only thing that was not different, the hot pink and orange combination...dior fall 08 much?

and myself! i am experimenting with different spots to put my camera, and i am in the process of doing my new fashion collage so that will be the background of my pictures :) i had to throw out the tights i am wearing in these, i totally thought that betsey johnson would last for a while. my dkny tights i have had for over a year, worn them a countless amount of times..still like new...and the betsey one's only three times and they are all out of shape, runs, and small holes.

i am going away for the weekend, well until tuesday. i am going to "the world's largest garage sale" upstate, it is actually hundreds of vendors selling anything and everything. i hope i will find some vintage clothes, or jewelry. i love it up there during the fall, it is really pretty.

emma watson graces yet another wonderful fashion spread, 7 pages in the october 2008 issue of harper's bazaar. i am pretty sure she is the luckiest girl ever. the shoot features U.K's top designers, alexander mcqueen, christopher bailey, vivienne westwood, marios schwab, philip treacy, matthew williamson, and giles deacon. my favorite is the christopher bailey shot, and marios schwab comes in a close second. however, all of the photos are truly incredible. which is your favorite? i am absolutely loving the shows this week, extremely fulfilled by what i am seeing before my eyes. I LOVE YOU PARIS FASHION WEEK, seriously. BALMAIN, which i know many bloggers have covered this but i am tagging along because it was truly perfection. looking at these collections, made me realize how much my taste in style is so diverse. i love the rocker chic of balmain, but then my heart goes out to the feminine looks of lusia beccaria. BALMAIN, what is there to say? it was the definition of rocker chic. from the mini ballerina-esque dresses, to the distressed jeans, and the pops of hot pink and the MICHAEL JACKSON inspired jackets. (the style.com review even mentioned him). it was the ultimate kick off for this week.

LUISA BECCARIA, totally opposite of balmain. this is one of those collections that is totally in my taste, and of course it consists of ruffles and bows. very elegant, i love the peachy colors and icy lavender, the fabrics were exquisite and looked amazing.

i wore one of the skirts i made today. i am having mixed feelings about the weather continuing to feel like warm spring, instead of fall. i am dying to wear some of my sweaters, jackets, and so on. i will probably regret saying this when it is freezing, and i don't want to leave my warm bed everyday.

today i started my fifth semester at F.I.T (fashion institute of technology) in their saturday live program. basically, they are pre-college classes where you learn about the industry and you choose what you want to take. i am taking fabric styling, which is a class where you learn about trends, fabrics, concepts, styling, and other related things. i liked my teacher, she has had a lot of experiences in the fashion industry and it was interesting how she majored in fine arts and english literature, but ended up in textile. i was really happy because my friend caitlin from my class in the spring is in there with me, yay! anyway, i am excited to get working.

i was also stopped in my tracks, when walking out of penn station....a brand new AMERICAN APPAREL came before me. of course i could not leave without going in, i liked it more then the one in soho. i looked at almost everything i recently ordered, and it seems good :)

oh, and how could i forget...YOLATO!

ugly betty starts today! i am very excited for that, i feel like it has been so long since i last watched the finale.

today i made two skirts, they were just from random material that i had. i don't know what tops i will pair them with yet, but it's just another excuse to play dress up.

OH AND...my everyday minerals free sample kit arrived today! i am going to try it tomorrow, wish me luck :)

only two days until paris fashion week! i have yet to decide my favorite from milan, right now i am leaning toward blumarine. there are still some shows left though! :)

BLUMARINE, ahh so pretty! i love the colors. the coral reef clasps on the skirts pull together the theme of this collection. i'm not sure about how much i like the over sized bow headpieces, though i do love bows. the draping was really magnificent, i love the turquoise tulle skirt. my other favorite is bottom row, center, i love the bodice and the way the colors look together.

opinions on those GIGANTIC bows?
i have a feeling that they will grow on me.

so gossip girl last night, AMAZING. i have to say i am not happy about blair not being queen "B" at the moment. i want to raid the gossip girl wardrobe, i am seriously obsessed. i even re-watched the episode from last night to study the clothes, haha. since a lot of you have the same amount of love for GG, i found some new blair pictures today...

over the past few days some terrific collections were shown.

from Moschino Cheap & Chic...like a lot of MFW collections, it was bursting with color. i liked the hats, and silhouettes of the dresses..oh and the shoes were adorable :)

Dolce & Gabbana...loved the collection, i really did. the colors were blue, black, white, red, and touches of gold. not everything went together, but i didn't mind. the first couple of looks, i automatically thought nautical, but it eventually turns another direction with sheer fabrics, gold, silk, and flowing gowns. tons of patterns too.

Just Cavalli...absolutely fell in love with some pieces from this collection. the middle dress was my favorite out of everything, i love the color, the tiers of RUFFLES, the shape, length, EVERYTHING.

so i was quite the online shopper this weekend. here are my goodies ;)

well, this was something i couldn't turn down. a free mineral make-up sample kit from www.everydayminerals.com you choose 3 foundations, a blush, and a concealer according to your skin color, type, etc. if you're wondering why i chose the "pearl mint" (green) concealer it is because i had one that color from clinique once, it was terrific and totally blended with my fair skin. you pay $3.13 for shipping, but it is still worth it. i hope it arrives soon.

these were the colors, (foundation, blush, concealer).

...and now for the CLOTHES. i've been in desperate need of some AA. enough said.

interlock mini, i love this skirt. i have it in black too, and it works with everything. i chose brown because i can match it easily to tops, and cream tights. it is really versatile, you can wear it high-waisted, over tights, i have also worn it with tops that make it look like a dress.

double U neck dress. i wanted a red dress to wear with my navy blazer, and maybe layer my RL polo because it is white/navy striped with a red emblem. i read the reviews, and people seem to like it so hopefully i will too.

melange jersey pocket skirt. i went to order this last time, and they did not have my size. so yay!

fine jersey T. i have one just like this in apricot, i love it. also, it was that icy color blue that i've been dying for.

loving the LACE, RUFFLES, AND ICY BLUE from ERDEM. i only posted the blue spectrum of outfits, but the other colors were primarily watercolors and a bit of brights like orange and lime green. i was immediately drawn to the beige, cream, and the lovely pale-icy blue (my favorite!). the whole collection is gorgeous, and elegant...reminds me of a marie antoinette tea party. erdem described it as "hyper-romantic, easy but a bit surreal at the same time." it absolutely is my cup of tea ;)

two of my favorite things. mmmm temperley london and luella had shows (yesterday) and now the pictures are up. i love looking at those collections, they are so ruffly, girly, and my describing words are totally sucking right now..but you get the idea. i personally am influenced by both designers collections(luella fall 2008, floral skirts and tee pairing).

Luella: The collection consisted of a lot of asymmetrical ruffles, the colors were none other then pastels, my favorite dress was the last one. i also couldn't help but to notice the shoes, they are adorable and match really nicely with each outfit.

Temperley London: Definitely more toned town feminine compared to luella, but still very pretty. Sheer and silky fabrics made it's way in, along with delicate floral patterns. The shoes, belts, and other accessories did a nice job at making the pieces have a masculine, but not over done touch.

to convey my love for ruffles and bows, i wore a top that fits the part.

Ever since the olsen twins did the Badgley Mischka ads, those dresses put them at the top of my favorite designers list. This year is their 20th year together, this collection is ravishing, i am seriously in love with the whole entire collection. i am desperate to get my hands on a skirt that same color blue. seriously though, look at the details on the dresses. the ruffles, the feminine details are to die for. this may just be my favorite spring ready-to-wear collection for 2009.

OH MY GOODDDDNESSSSS, this is brill. i love the combonation of orange and hot pink. the big black floral print, and the 5th picture top row..i really like that look. i love you peter.

and my favorite in the whole collection, why? i love how he managed to keep the preppy thing into spring fashion but revised it with linen (i'm guessing), the new belt loop thing, sandal pumps, and it has an undergarment feel to it as well.

One review said there were too many ideas, with the mix and match. I tend to favor Donna Karan though, maybe because she has such a passion for New York. Overall I like the collection. The color scheme is a little bit of everything, I am just glad the "neons" aren't overly bright, because that automatically can turn me off. I think she did a fair job at mixing the neutrals with the lime, hot pinks, and so on. The sneaker pumps are actually one of my favorite items, along with the polka dot romper. what do you think?

well, i am back from lake george. it was a really nice, and relaxing vacation. i can't believe summer is really over, and it is so weird knowing this is my last year of high school. i am excited though. anyway, i did some shopping (of course) while on vacation. i went to saratoga and they had the most adorable little boutiques, i actually found a cream colored motorcycle jacket that i had to have there. i went to a mall in albany (cross gates) and went to the usual stores, along with others that we don't have here. i am hooked on the blair waldorf thing right now, i love her and her style. i went to ralph lauren, i could have bought the whole store but controlled myself and bought two polo's. all i think about is what i am going to wear for the fall and how excited i am, then i think about school and get upset. whatever. i am rambling. i have to go finish gossip girl season one, NEW TOMORROW. yesyesyes.

Runway Olympics!

In the newest episode the designers had to create a women's outfit to walk the opening ceremony in the Olympics. The challenge was to make America proud, and look fashionable (duh). Blayne complained about how he hasn't gone tanning, and also there was a titanic reference about Jerrel's garment (one of my favorite movies)...even though his outfit was not one of the best by far. BORING Jennifer went home, YAY! I actually found some humor in Stella in this episode, when I am usually ready to mute the tv. "Black is cool." Ahhh...lets get to the pictures, shall we?

Jennifer's losing outfit, it was a disaster. She didn't even use any red, this has no relevance whatsoever to the Olympics.

Even though it was just considered "safe", I liked Kenley's...maybe just not for the Olympics.

OK, so I was so excited for this years Teen Choice Awards. My reasons being, number one of course, the clothes, the Miley Cyrus-Selena Gomez-Demi Lovato controversy, Miley hosting, the dance-off, my boyfriend Ed Westwick, SECRET LIFE (hell yeah), and Gossip Girl.

OK, So here I go...

Selena Gomez, I thought it was just REALLY boring. I mean, she didn't look horrible or anything but, with her figure she could totally pull off something tighter and more structured. Her dress looks too wrinkled, and her shoes are very payless-esque. (Nothing against payless, but she can do better.)

Jessica Szhor, her dress was nice, I liked the color and how it fits her. I do not like the complete outfit, the shoes do not match and not in a good way, and I thought her hair was overly straight for her.

Cassie Steele, WTF? WTF? WTF? I have nothing to say to this, she looks like she should be starting her first day of school. TERRIBLE.

Zanessa, I actually really liked both of their outfits. She is not one of my favorite people, but she did look hott, love the shoes..never can go wrong with Louboutin, and her dress is perf (Catherine Malandrino). Zac never really disappoints, he has got his style down pat.

Demi Lovato, I have mixed feelings with this one. I like her jacket, because it reminds me of Adam Ant in the 80's. I just don't really like it for this event, I would have preferred her to pair it with a colored dress or something. She does LOVE black, doesn't she?

The Jonas Brothers, nothing really new with them. They have a signature style, and kept it up for this, I favor Nick's though...I like the all white with the navy shirt and shoes.

Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick :). Penn kept it real simple, but sophisticated. OK, maybe I am being a little biased but, Ed can do whatever he wants and still look good. He really lives his character (Chuck Bass), style-wise and I love him for it.

Lil Mama, OMG. What is this? My Dad was watching and saw her, he said "She looks like she should be wearing a diaper." Agreed. Worst Ever.

Blake Lively, she looks well put together, and polished. I like this dress on her, I think she maybe could have been more adventurous with her shoes. However, I think she scored high with everything else.

Kristen Bell, I realllllly loved her outfit. I am now on the look-out for a high waist, hot pink skirt. A+

Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick (again), I love her. I love her character Blair Waldorf also on Gossip Girl, I am heavily influenced by her outfits on the show. I liked her dress, green is a color that really works on her, I also like the fact that she accentuates her waist with a belt.

Miley, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? I think she would have looked so much better with some HEELS, get rid of the boots, you do not have to be country all the time. I read some reviews about her dress being boring, I personally liked it. I think it was pretty and looked cute on her.

Project Runway episode 3, finally the designer's get to do their own thing. I was impressed by a lot of the looks. The designer's had to create a garment inspired by, the fantastic New York City. I think the majority did a pleasant job of capturing the image they wanted to express through their runway look. I really favored Kenley's, Jerell's, and Blayne's. Also, Joe's bodice was just like his photo, I thought that was pretty impressive. My least favorite was Keith's, it looked like a mess of a lame collage or something. As for Emily, her piece was very "cha-cha" I think she could of made it just a tube top too, rather than one sleeve. Jennifer's was just boring. I also did not get the black jump suit by Korto, it was really plain and tedious...in my opinion. But back to the winner, Keley...wow Nina compared her dress to a more updated LaCroix. I am still unsure about that statement, it is definetley more toned down, but updated?

So, I was flipping through the pages of the August Issue of Harper's Bazaar (Jessica Biel is on the cover), and there is a photoshoot of Lucy Liu doing all athletic activities in gowns, couture, and designer clothing. I got really, I mean really excited when I saw her wearing a Christian LaCroix Haute Couture gown, not only that but it was one that I used in my fashion show project for Dowling Fashion. It is so fucking beautiful, I want it.

So this morning I watched episode two of Project Runway. The challenge was to make a cocktail dress for their models, using Eco-friendly fabrics. I think a majority of the models did a good job in selecting fabrics...but what was with that repulsive brown silk blend or whatever it was? Honestly Wesley and Leanne did horribly, I couldn't even decide which was worse. OK really random, but Wesley during confessional is on to the new preppy styles popping up everywhere. I am not one to wear a sweater around my neck, but I liked the way Wesley pulled it off. Back to the show, I loved Suede's and I knew he would win it, his design was really intricate and unique. As soon as I saw Kenley's, an image of Christian Siriano popped in my head mhm.

The Dark Knight, wow. I have seen the old version, and they are so different. I always liked batman, at least enough to watch the movies and my dad is really into them. The Dark Knight was a masterpiece, in all honesty I wasn't expecting to get such a clear message from it. The city of Gotham is overpowered by these surreal characters taking control. Heath, as the joker is dark and eerie but at the same time comical. I got chills when the joker spoke of dying, and the killing that he does feeling no remorse.Christian Bale was also extraordinary, he was so precise with his character expressing what he was dealing with along with the joker and Harvey.

oh by the way, did anyone else love the part where the joker gave his card? haha.

hung out with my favorite italian, amber. we explored the bookstore, and chowed down at the cheesecake factory. we ended up watching some E! beach body count down, instead of a movie because of the stupid on demand not functioning correctly. tom ended up coming over too, and we had our usual discussions, unfortunately we didn't talk about breast feeding in toys'r'us this time hahaha.

sam came out with us, we went to bj's and froze our asses off, thank you frozen section. after we went to alitalia, where there were way too many children running around. at my house we watched fribble act like a psycho.

wednesday:
i read a lot today, almost finishing my second to last gossip girl book. after dinner, taylor and i went to shop rite, the really lame fair in town, marble slab, and drove around for about an hour just talking and laughing a lot.

okay so basically i summed up the past few days, sorry for the lack of detail but i am extremely lazy. i have to go to bed at a decent time tonight because tomorrow i am going to roosevelt field with taylor at 11, yay bye.

i could just gush all day over couture. i have a complete fetish with it, and i just want to stare at it constantly and find out the inspiration for it. i have mentioned christian lacroix before, i just love him and i want to know what he does to come up with these incredible pieces. it makes me so mad that couture is a) ridiculously over priced b) totally not an easy every day ensemble c) pretty much runway restricted.

my clothes finally arrived today, YAY! as well as report cards DOUBLE YAY! i am not even kidding though, my report card was excellent and with all the amounts of work, i deserved it. i watched an abundant amount of leonardo dicaprio videos on youtube haha, i love him. i went to that chinese food place in babylon village that looks like a diner/trailer coalition, i feel accomplished because i always wondered wtf it was like in there. later on i went to sams and taylor was there too, we sat around her fire pit and talkedtalkedtalked. we have a wonderful idea of having a tv show of us talking, and it will be called DAMN. i won't say what it stands for here though. i love my bestfriends a lot, the end.

this chick is everywhere lately. i am sure if you read any fashion magazines, you've seen her. ever since that may 2007 cover of vogue, i recognize her in almost every magazine i read. maybe it's her name chanel, being one of the most well known designer brands...and iman, the renowned supermodel. i am pretty sure she is only 17, and already she's becoming a popular name. i am envious of her for getting to wear christian dior fall 2008 RTW, being one of my favorites in that category.

so today i watched "what's eating gilbert grape" and last night i watched "marvin's room." double dosage of leo, yay! in all virtuousness, "marvin's room" was not a good movie HOWEVER, leo looked absolutely gorgeous and his character was funny. he really is an excellent actor, "what's eating gilbert grape" just showed that even at a young age, he took on a complex part acting as a mentally challenged person and nailed it. my clothes have yet to arrive yet though, and they were supposed to come yesterday. i love online shopping and everything but wtf, the tracking thing was incorrect. i am going to go read now, only 50-something pages left!

my new inclination is monochrome , it has me keen on going shopping this fall. i want to own a pair of burgundy tights asap. i have definitely dressed in monochromatic ways before, however i particularly love when it is done with blues, reds, and colors that are not expected.

today was definitely a lazy, lay low at home day. i woke up around noon, and read gossip girl (book 8) outside for about one hour. i'm not really reluctant to reading them so fast, because there is a prequel, and a spin-off (it girl series). i am a gossip girl fiend right now, i crave these books. after dinner, and other night rituals (iced coffee,froyo..etc.) tom, sarah, and chris came over for some wii. we all sat around and played mario party 8. i dominated everyone in the mini games, but sarah ended up cheating her way to victory. the thing was, before every game we do a practice. sarah ate a duel candy and had to battle chris, and did not practice, leading to his failure. unless you have played mp8 before, those last few sentences were trivial to whoever is reading. i came in 2nd place, but i won a star for winning the most mini games. i have to go watch the next food network star now. bye.

okay, i suck at updating. last night i went to see wall-e with sam and taylor, and even though we had to walk about 6483768 miles to the multiplex...the movie was worth it. sam is emphatical for this wall-e character, i swear hahah. after the movie mary-ellllll took us to marble slab, then we went to sams. on thursday, amber came over and brought the gold. when i say gold, i am talking about the special edition titanic dvd. 45 minutes of deleted scenes, featuring the substantial love of my life.
